Karl
Burrow is the Managing Partner and President of Karllestone Capital,
which
he founded in 2006. He has a wealth of experience working in the
financial services and
financial technology industry for over 20 years. He is core expertise
in Financial
Services, Capital Markets, Risk, Operations and Securities processing,
Treasury, Professional Services, International business, Business
Joint Ventures, CRM, Asset Managenent/Investment trusts Wealth Mgmt
& Private Banking, Technology, Compliance, business engineering,
Business Model , Strategy, OCM ( Organizational Change Management) and
management consultancy in Japan and the Asia Pacific region.
He
has
extensive experience in Investment Management, CRM, Wealth Management,
Customer Analytics, Customer Value Management and Marketing Automation
for financial services, addressing a
broad range of strategy, process, operational and organizational issues
in which he has advised top-level management in a wide range of areas
in the segment. He was one of the original advisors and contributing
authors of several successful CRM information portals during the early
years of CRM inception during the 1990's. He has also helped launch
several CRM vendor partnerships for Market-Entry of Marketing Automation
based products in Japan.
Karl started his career at Credit Suisse ( Formerly First Boston Securities) in technology, Capital Markets and analytics. He
later enjoyed roles at Lehman Brothers , Bankers Trust, Toronto
Dominion Securities and Axa Insurance and Investment Managers as a
Director.
He later joined Price Waterhouse Coopers as a Sr.
Advisory Consultant and Strategist which he focused on CRM, Business
engineering, and Wealth Management for Banking & Financial
Services for Mass Affluent and Securities Processing.
As a
Professional Services and Management Consultant he has consulted for
Mizuho Bank, Prudential Insurance, Aozora Bank, Schroders Wealth
Investment and Asset Management and later at Credit Suisse Private Banking and with Sungard Services.
As for interest he is currently contributing commentary and ideas on a new book on Business Model Generation and Innovation which
has released in September 2009 by several authors in addition to
contributing to numerous services concerning financial services,
technology, and strategy in the Japan and Asian Markets.
A
native of Virginia, Karl is a graduate from University of Maryland
College Park. He has a CFA(Chartered Financial Analyst) level 1 and 2
from the Chartered Financial Institute, and a register Independent
Wealth Advisor. He also is a member and holds a certificate from the
PMI (Project Management Institute), and Prince 2 Project Management
certified.
He has also attended Purdue University for CRM Analytics,
Marketing Automation and knowledge and processes and a Executive
Management Education Certificate.
